Thank You!

I was sitting at the desk in my home office after having read an email from a longtime friend who introduced me to one of her former colleagues who was in transition, and it caused me to pause. I looked back through my archives and determined that over the last 10 years, I have had the honor of talking to or meeting with over a thousand people that are in career transition - each with a unique story. From the Head of Finance that started a new job 30 days before she was told by the owner of the company that he wanted to sell; to the Operations Manager, who has been at the same company for over 20 years and is concerned that he may have a hard time finding another job, given the length of his career. I appreciate that each person has been willing to invest their time to have a conversation with me about how to identify their next opportunity.

During our conversations, I ask questions and spend time listening to identify what career opportunities they are looking to pursue and to determine the type of help I can provide them. My goal is to provide professionals with tools to energize and accelerate their job search process.

What is very clear to me is the impact each of those conversations has had on me. I wish I could describe to you what it feels like to see the look in a person’s eyes when they know they have a workable plan to achieve their goal of finding their next job. It is heartwarming.

We are all looking for ways to make a difference, and the energy and warmth that I receive from having those conversations is amazing.
